Renato Häusler returned to illuminate Notre-Dame church with a new scenography following its first two installations, admired by more than 20,000 spectators in 2013 and 2015. Using 3000 elements, arrows of light, lanterns, chandeliers, sugar candle candles, the Swiss artist invites you to a spectacular and poetic stroll at a time. It will particularly focus on the chapel and choir with new geometric patterns on the floor. The choir will also be brought to light in an unprecedented way using the grids and pillars that had not been in previous editions. A night course at your own pace which is a wonderful way to (re) discover the architecture of the site. A magical visit in a unique place!

Friday 10, Saturday 11, and Sunday 12 November from 7 pm to 10:30 pm. Free admission. Cover yourself well because the church is not heated.

HENRY PURCELL, RALPH VAUGHAN WILLIAMS, THOMAS TALLIS,
    WILLIAM BYRD,
By the choir of the Church of St. Mary of Nottingham
Under the direction of John Keys, the choir of St. Mary's Church in Nottingham is considered one of the best in Britain. Renowned for its versatility and wide repertoire, it has already participated in numerous world premieres and performs regularly throughout Europe. More than 25 chorus singers will give you a rendezvous for a program that will pay tribute to the armistice and the Tudor era. This choir comes to Calais as part of the British year and an initiative led by the association AMVPAC presided over by Dominique Darré for the renewal of the historical links between Calais and Nottingham going back to 1816. At that time, three lace-makers, Bonington , Clark and Webster smuggled a tulle craft to Calais, giving birth to an industry that has finally become as important as that of the East Midlands in England.
Saturday, November 11 3:30 pm (opening of doors at 3 pm). Free admission. Cover yourself well because the church is not heated.

    HANDEL
    OPERA AIRS
(In collaboration with the Grand Théâtre de Calais)
By the Hemiolia and Furio Zanasi
The ensemble Hemiolia invites baritone Furio Zanasi, one of the major performers of this repertoire, for a recital devoted to Handel's opera arias, whose career was essentially in England. Fiery, majestic, desperate, passionate, always with ardent virtuosity, Handel has given us the most sumptuous pages of baroque opera. Furio Zanasi is a regular at the world's biggest stages. His arrival in Calais is a miracle of the calendar and friendship: knowing the enthusiasm of the Calaisians for the Dreams of Notre Dame, we decided to offer them this rare encounter.
Sunday, November 12 3:30 pm (opening of doors at 3 pm). Free admission. Cover yourself well because the church is not heated.

The Sunday Mass will be held on November 12th at 6 pm in the luminous atmosphere of Renato Häusler candles.

CHRONICLES OF CALAIS: GENESIS AND RENEWAL
By the association Splendeur de Calais and the choir Saint-Joseph

Following the success of the first edition of the Chroniques de Calais, the two Calaisian associations are investing in the Halle for a one-hour show featuring new episodes in the history of the city: the revival of Calais in 1558, the unification of Calais and St Pierre-les-Calais, the invitation of Captain Charles de Gaulle to Yvonne Vendroux at the Bal de Saint Cyr. All of these milestones in the history of our city will bring you back more than 80 volunteers.

The Halle, Place d'Armes. Friday 10 and Saturday 11 November at 8 pm (opening of doors at 7:30 pm). Free admission.
