La statue des époux De Gaulle et la Place d'Armes

It was the heart of medieval Calais, damaged during the last war. A market is still held there twice a week, Wednesday and Saturday morning. At the foot of the watchtower is the statue of the couple Charles and Yvonne de Gaulle-Vendroux, the work of Elisabeth Cibot, in memory of the marriage of the De Gaulle couple in 1921. This square in the heart of the shops and restaurants also houses the futuristic hall, a venue for many events.
